Sparta 3Gun match Oct 30, 2011

I am passing this on since there is a dearth of 3 gun matches in the area & there has been interest.
This is near Sparta, IL at the World Shoot Complex: Shooter's meeting at 9:15. start shooting by 9:30. Hopefully, all will be done by noon or 1 PM.

4 to 6 stages

$20 match fee

round counts as follows (this is just a SWAG, since stages haven't actually been drawn up yet and/or are not set in stone yet as things might change once we get out to the range and move stuff around)

120 rifle

120 shotgun (birdshot only)*

120 pistol

It never hurts to bring more ammo.

no slugs

no buckshot

no slings on long guns.

no rifle shots on steel.

no birdshot on paper

rules will be very similar to the Ozark 3 gun major match:

http://forconquest.com/files/2011_match_rules.pdf

which from a scoring standpoint is basically 1A or 1B hit is good enough to be considered "neutralized" or two hits anywhere on the paper = "neutralized"

rifle only on paper.

no divisions

run strictly head's up within a single division. (There will be an equipment survey to fill out, anonymously, so if we try to do this another time, it will give me an idea of where or if to split divisions).

got a Saiga 12 shotgun with a 20 round drum? good! bring it!

no major/minor power factor scoring.

no .22LR

shooter's meeting at 9:15. start shooting by 9:30. hopefully, done by noon or 1 PM. since 3 gun stages tend to run longer, I am going to try to break people up into even smaller squads. Ideally, if we have enough people, I would like to do 3 squads. Start one squad out, for examlple, on stage 1, skip a bay/stage, start a squad on stage 3, skip a squad/bay, start a third and last squad on stage 6.
